This lecture will discuss Gwen's experience and knowledge gained working as an acupuncturist with Providence Hospice, treating elders and those terminally ill.  Included in the discussion will be some background on the history of death and dying in America, the advent of hospice in Europe and United States. the current state of elder care in this country, case studies, and common pulse findings in these populations,  Lastly, the important practice of self care while working with the dying will also be addressed.
